Game 1 (UTPB 0, UTD 15):
- UTPB allowed eight runs on just four hits in the bottom of the first. The inning also featured four walks, three stolen bases, two errors and a hit by pitch.
- Zeke Alexander (1-2) allowed three hits, eight total runs, seven earned runs, and three walks without recording an out in his start.
- Santana Hernandez (1 inning, 1 hit, 1 walk) got UTPB out of the first, but in the bottom of the second, Kaden Johnson allowed seven more runs (all unearned) on six hits.
- The second inning for UTD featured four two-out RBI-singles as the Comets ran away with the game after scoring 15 runs on 10 hits in the first two innings.
- Johnson rebounded to pitch a 1-2-3 bottom of the third and got around a two-out walk and a wild pitch to pitch another scoreless inning in the bottom of the fourth.
- Zachary Dobson (2 innings, 2 hits, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts) worked around a two-out single in the fifth, and then a diving catch by Dylan Wolfson in left field in the bottom of the sixth saved at least one run and helped Dobson put up his second straight scoreless inning.
- It was a combined four straight shutout innings by Johnson and Dobson, however, the UTPB offense was held to just four hits, including a 2-for-2 effort by Daylon Jefcoats, while Cruz Garcia had both a hit and a walk.
- David Dean (4-0), who earlier in the season was named both the LSC and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) South Central Region Pitcher of the Week, pitched the first six innings of the combined shutout for the Comets.
- The Falcons had the bases loaded with one out in the third before a groundball double play to third base. The Falcons also had one base runner in each of the first, second and fourth innings before going down 1-2-3 in each of the final three innings.
Â
Game 2 (UTPB 2, UTD 11):
- UTPB had a golden opportunity to score first, putting two on with nobody out in the top of the first after a leadoff walk by Andrew Prado followed by Jefcoats' third hit of the day (3-for-3) on a single up the middle, but the Falcons would ultimately leave the bases loaded.
- Then in the bottom of the first, UTD made UTPB pay for not being able to score in the top half as Kole Kinnison delivered a two-run, opposite-field home run to left field to open the scoring.
- After coming into the game with no home runs on the season, Kinnison went opposite field again in the bottom of the second with his second two-run homer in as many innings, making it a 6-0 Comets' lead.
- After a dropped foul ball by the Comets earlier in the at bat, Jefcoats kept his perfect start to the day (4-for-4) going by crushing his team-leading fourth home run of the season to left field to get UTPB on the scoreboard down 6-1 in the top of the third.
- Unfortunately, after a scoreless bottom of the third inning by Damian Robles (5-2), UTPB came up empty in the top of the fourth after getting two runners into scoring position with one out after back-to-back walks by Garcia and Demetrius Deramus followed by a sacrifice bunt by Braeden Dyck.
- A two-out home run to left field by Trent McCowen, the third two-run home run in the first four innings by UTD, made it 8-1 in the bottom of the fourth.
- UTPB was 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position in the game until a two-out RBI-single up the middle by Prado in the sixth inning, making the score 11-2.
- Jefcoats (2-for-4) finished with two hits for the second game in a row, and was the lone Falcon with two hits in either game on the day.
- UTPB did draw six walks as team in game two. Deramus had a hit with two walks while Prado and Alden Quintanilla both had a hit and a walk.
- After walking the first two batters he faced in the bottom of the fifth, freshman Cameron McClinton recorded four straight outs, and has yet to allow a run in 2.2 innings and three appearances so far this season.

Team Records:
- UTPB falls to 8-21 both overall and in the Lone Star Conference while UT Dallas reaches 21-8 and its now tied with St. Mary's University for first place in the LSC.
Coach's Quote:
- UTPB Head Coach Justin Phillips said, "We have not played Falcon baseball. We are pitching behind the count, not making adjustments when necessary, and lacking the ability to defend when we need it. We have to come ready to play tomorrow."
