Media Guidelines
Any working member of the media or organizations that would like to receive UTPB Athletics press releases via email Athletics Communications Specialist Brandon Warr (
warr_b@utpb.edu) or Sports Information Director Ricky Baptist (
baptist_r@utpb.edu). Please include name, media affiliation, and all email addresses to be included on our list.

Media Credentials
All media credential applications should be emailed to Athletics Communication Specialist Brandon Warr (
warr_b@utpb.edu) or Sports Information Director Ricky Baptist (
baptist_r@utpb.edu) no less than two business days before the event. Media credentials may be issued to working members of the media representing recognized media outlets in the business of news gathering/sports reporting as a primary function of their business. Eligible outlets include newspapers, web sites, magazines, wire services, television, and radio. Credentials will not typically be issued to representatives whose outlet exists solely as a platform for distributing unoriginal or aggregated content. Freelancers will not be credentialed unless contracted by an eligible media organization or visiting team. In accordance with NCAA policy, credentials will not be issued to any outlet whose primary coverage is gambling or bookmaking.

Interview Policy
All interview requests for student-athletes, coaches, and staff members must go through the UTPB Athletic Department, Please allow time after the request to coordinate with student-athlete(s) or coach(es) as they have busy schedules, especially in their competition season. Coaches in season are available during the weekly Texas Roadhouse Press Conference, TBA. In the event of a scheduling conflict, the Athletic Communications Office will work to find a suitable new time or access to another student-athlete, coach or administrator.
The safety and protection of our student-athletes is our highest priority. Please understand that requests may be denied, rescheduled, or special arrangements made at the discretion of UTPB Athletics.

Texas Roadhouse Press Conference
Members of the media are welcome to join us each Monday for the Texas Roadhouse Press Conference. Each week coaches will be available to answer questions from the media. Lunch is provided courtesy of Texas Roadhouse. If you would like a specific student-athlete or coach, or more information on the Texas Roadhouse Press Conference please contact Athletics Communications Specialist Brandon Warr.
UTPB Press Conference Expectations
Game Day
Credentials are required for all game day football staff and media and WILL BE ENFORCED. Box scores and statistics are available for all working media during all home UTPB events. Contact the Sports Information Office if you would like additional statistics on game day. Food and beverage service is provided for working media and members of the UTPB Athletics game day staff.
