Biography

2026 (Redshirt Junior):
Was 2-1 in four starts and 12 appearances... Made the start in each of his final four appearances of the season... Allowed 49 hits, 33 total runs, 32 earned runs, 17 walks and 24 strikeouts across 28.2 innings pitched... Was tied for second on the team in wins and was tied for sixth in pitching appearances... Was also fifth on the team in both innings pitched and strikeouts... Threw one of UTPB's two complete games on the season... Earned his first start of the season and put together a complete-game to lead UTPB to a 3-2 win in game one of its series vs. Sul Ross (Apr. 2). Rodriguez earned his first win of the season (1-0), allowing seven hits, two runs, one walk and seven strikeouts while throwing 102 pitches across all seven innings... Allowed one hit and two walks while striking out four through three scoreless innings in game two at Oklahoma Christian (Apr. 9), but finished by allowing nine hits, four runs, two walks and six strikeouts in five innings... Picked up the win and improved to 2-0 after allowing seven hits, four runs and one walk in the first four innings in a 17-6 win in game two vs. No. 17 St. Mary's (Apr. 18).

Wayland Baptist (2023-2025):
As a sophomore in 2025 he was 1-0 with an 8.31 ERA, a .278 opponents' batting average, five hits, four total runs, four earned runs, three walks allowed and four strikeouts across 4.1 innings... Entered the game out of the bullpen and inherited a bases-loaded, one out jam, but he showed great poise and got the next two Saints to popout and flyout. This secured a 5-3 victory for the Pioneers at Our Lady of the Lake (Feb. 1, 2025) and clinched a four-game sweep of the Saints. Rodriguez got the save by throwing 1.1 scoreless innings, allowing no hits, and one walk... Made his first start of the season, and he was on point all afternoon. The righty finished with 4.2 innings, two runs (one earned), two walks, and five strikeouts en route to earning the win in an 8-2 game-one win over Adams State (Feb. 16, 2025)... Helped team win first Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) Championship in 2025... Named to the 2024-2025 SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
