UT Permian Basin football closed out its 2017 season with a 74-24 loss in Lone Star Conference action against Angelo State Saturday night at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa.
UTPB tied the game at 7-7 in the first quarter when
Kameron Mathis found a wide open
Kristian Brown in the back of the end zone for a 28 yard touchdown, the fifth of the season for Brown, at 9:22 in the first quarter.
Mathis tossed his second touchdown of the night with 3:27 remaining in the second quarter, finding
Jake Anglin from two-yards out on the goal line for Anglin's first TD of the season.
Brandon Infiesto added a score in the fourth quarter, rushing in from 24 yards out for his fourth touchdown of the season.
Mathis completed 30-52 passes for 227 yards, tossing a pair of touchdowns.
Infiesto ran for 163 yards on 20 carries, averaging 8.2 yards per carry on the night with one touchdown.
Brown led the receivers with 8 catches and 94 yards, while Anglin caught seven passes for 61 yards.
Josh Stevens paced the Rams with 159 yards on 18 carries and three touchdowns on the night.
