STOCKTON, Calif. (May 8, 2026) – UT Permian Basin men's golf stayed in the same position after a second-round score of 289 as the Falcons remain tied for 18th place with one round to play at The Reserve at Spanos Park in the NCAA West/South Central Regional Tournament.

Tate was one-under through the front nine, and then went two-under after birding on the par-5 hole 11. Thonsaeng Nunya shot a birdie on two of his final four holes of the front nine (hole 6, hole 9) to match Beech and Tate at one-under going into the back nine.

Bourehim would remain at one-under through the first eight holes of round two, and led UTPB with six straight pars to start off the back nine. He finished round two at one-over (73) with two birdies, 14 pars, one bogey and one double bogey.

Ioan Rowe rebounded from shooting back-to-back bogeys on holes two and three to shooting seven straight holes of par of better, including back-to-back birdies on holes eight (par-3) and nine (par-4) to finish the front nine at even-par. He finished round two by shooting par on eight of nine holes on the back nine and ended the round at one-over (73) as well with two pars, 13 birdies and three bogeys.

After both shooting one-under on the front nine, Nunya and Beech went double bogey on hole 11 (par-5). Beech then double bogeyed again on hole 12 (par-4), and finished the round at seven-over (79) with four birdies, eight pars, two bogeys and four double bogeys.

Nunya finished the second round at two-over (74) with three birdies, 12 pars, one bogey and two double bogeys.

Bourehim, Nunya and Beech all birdied on hole 16 (par-5), but all shot double bogey or triple bogey on hole 17 (par-4).

UTPB had moved from being 13-under after round one to nine-under late in the front nine, but later found itself in last place in the tournament starting the back nine.

Helping get UTPB back to 13-over at the time was Tate, who eagled the par-5 hole 16 to drop his score for the round to three-under with two holes to go. Tate finished round two at three-under (69) with one eagle, two birdies, 14 pars and just one bogey.

Tate is one of 16 players to have sunk an eagle. Tate has registered 25 pars (T11th) while Bourehim is tied for sixth in the field with 26 pars.

Through two rounds Tate (73-69; 142; -2) is tied for 19th place, Nunya (75-74; 149; +5) is tied for 64th, Rowe (77-73; 150; +6) is tied for 76th, Bourehim (78-73; 151; +7) is tied for 84th, and Beech (76-79; 155; +11) is 103rd.
