Exline highlights Falcons’ all-conference honors as Defensive Player of the Year

ODESSA, Texas (November 20, 2025) – Led by the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Year and Linebacker of the Year in Tristan Exline, The University of Texas Permian Basin football team had 27 All-Lone Star Conference selections. It was a new record for the most Falcons honored in one season by the LSC for the third year in a row under Head Coach Kris McCullough.

Tristan Exline – Jr., ILB – LSC Defensive Player of the Year (J.V. Sikes Award), LSC Linebacker of the Year, First-Team All-LSC Defense
For the second season in a row, Exline started in all 11 games during the regular season (mike linebacker), but reached 100-plus tackles during the regular season for the first time in his career. He led the Falcons in tackles for the second year in a row, totaling 104 tackles, including 59 solo tackles and matching his total numbers of tackles in 12 total games a year ago. He also led the team with 18.5 tackles for loss of 79 yards, 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles while adding one interception. Exline was second in the LSC in tackles, just one tackle behind the leader, was tied for first in the conference with 9.5 tackles per game, and led the conference while also tying the UTPB record for tackles for loss in a single season. As a team, the UTPB defense was first in the conference in total yards allowed per game (301.2 ypg), first in passing yards allowed per game (159.9 ypg), and was second in points allowed per game (17.7 ppg). In all of NCAA Division II, Exline was seventh in tackles for loss, tied for 11th in solo tackles, and 21st in total tackles.

Exline was the Preseason LSC Defensive Player of the Year and won a pair of LSC Defensive Player of the Week and D2Football.com National Defensive Player of the Week honors throughout the season. He was also a team captain and was named to the D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List (First Team – Defense). He is now a two-time LSC Linebacker of the Year, is a two-time First-Team All-LSC selection, and is the first LSC Defensive Player of the Year in program history.

Exline began his junior campaign with a dominating performance in UTPB's season-opening win over No. 5 Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30), finishing with nine tackles, a sack, an interception and two quarterback hurries against the Bronchos. After UTPB took a two-touchdown lead in the third quarter, the next UCO possession ended with an interception by Exline in Falcon territory, who returned it 15 yards to help set up a field goal and make it a three-score game going into the fourth quarter. In the end, Exline led a UTPB defense that limited a Central Oklahoma team that led the nation in yards per game last season and was the defending MIAA champions to just 14 points.

One month after registering 19 total tackles, including 13 solo tackles, in UTPB's first defeat of the season vs. No. 13 Central Washington (Oct. 11), Exline had 20 tackles – eight solo and six for a loss of 38 yards – two forced fumbles and one sack to lead the Falcons to a win against the triple-option attack of Eastern New Mexico (Nov. 9). His six tackles for loss were the most in the LSC this season. He also had a 23-yard reception on a fake punt to set up UTPB's second touchdown of the game against the Greyhounds. Exline had 11 tackles in the first quarter alone, and his second forced fumble came late in the second quarter and led to a touchdown to make it 40-7 at halftime. His totals of 19 and 20 tackles in a game were the top-two marks in a single game in the LSC this season.

Coming off his second D2Football.com National Player of the Week honor of the season, Exline once again led the way defensively with 10 tackles as UTPB defeated Sul Ross State (Nov. 15) in the final game of the regular season. Exline also had a one-yard rushing touchdown on a wildcat formation to make it 29-7 in the second quarter against the Lobos.

In UTPB's career record books, Exline ranks fourth in total tackles (233), tackles for loss (18.0) and sacks (11.0), and is third with four forced fumbles.

Jalani Jefferson – Sr., CB – First-Team All-LSC Defense
A team captain, Jefferson played all 11 games at cornerback during the regular season. He totaled 18 tackles, an impressive 3.5 tackles for loss for a corner, and one interception. His season highlight was a 35-yard interception retuned for a touchdown at Western New Mexico (Nov. 1). It was tied for the fourth-longest interception return in the LSC this season and was the second-longest to go for a touchdown. He was one of nine players in the LSC this season, including two Falcons, with an interception returned for a touchdown. It is the second straight First-Team All-LSC recognition for Jefferson in his two years as a Falcon.

Girevis Bobey – So., OG – Second-Team All-LSC Offense
Bobey was the top offensive lineman on the all-conference teams for the Falcons. Bobey played in all 11 games during the regular season, and started each of the final nine games at one of the guard positions. The Falcons' offense sat second in the LSC, averaging 39.5 points per game, 469.4 total yards per game and 328.5 passing yards per game. As a team, UTPB ranked third in the nation in passing offense, sixth in total offense and ninth in scoring offense.

Ben Patterson – Sr., WR – Second-Team All-LSC Offense
Patterson earns his third-career All-LSC recognition and second such nod to the second-team. He was named honorable mention in 2024 and second-team in 2023. Patterson was the top wide receiver on the all-conference teams for the Falcons. He played in all 11 games during the regular season for the third year in a row, started in eight of those games, totaled 23 catches, ranked second on the team in receiving yards (567), and was tied for third with five touchdown catches. It was his second season in a row with five touchdown catches and 30 points. He averaged 24.65 yards per catch and 51.55 receiving yards per game. He had at least one catch in all 11 games and surpassed his previous season total for receiving yards for the third year in a row. In all of NCAA Division II, Patterson ranked second in yards per reception.

Patterson was on the receiving end of UTPB's first touchdown of the season, a 24-yard score in the first quarter during UTPB's victory over No. 5 Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30). He caught a 73-yard touchdown to give the Falcons a 14-10 third-quarter lead at the time against No. 13 Central Washington (Oct. 11) while his long catch of the season of 75 yards, which tied for the second-longest reception in the LSC this season, also went for a touchdown against Eastern New Mexico (Nov. 8). He finished with four catches for 99 yards against the Greyhounds, but in the previous game he finished with three catches for 115 yards and a touchdown against Western New Mexico (Nov. 1), good for the fifth 100-yard receiving game of his career. Patterson owns two of the top-six and four of the top-17 longest catches (75, 73, 59, 55) in the LSC this season.

Patterson has totaled at least five receiving touchdowns with at least 500 receiving yards in each of the last three seasons. With 1,663 career receiving yards, Patterson is second in program history and is 130 yards shy of the program record of 1,793 receiving yards by MJ Link (2020-22).

Kory Harris – Sr., RB – Second-Team All-LSC Offense
Harris earns his third-career All-LSC recognition and second such nod on the second-team. He was named to the second-team in 2024 and was honorable mention in 2023. He was also a team captain this year and was named to both the 2025 LSC Preseason Players to Watch (Offense) and the D2Football.com Elite 100 Watch List (Second Team – Offense). Harris played in all 11 games in the regular season for the third year in a row, and has played in at least 10 games in each of his four seasons. he started in nine of 11 games this season and led the UTPB rushing room in attempts (126), yards (550) and touchdowns (9). He averaged 4.4 yards per carry and 50 rushing yards per game, and added 15 catches for 185 yards. With his nine rushing touchdowns on the season, Harris was second on the Falcons and first among non-kickers in scoring (54 points). In the Lone Star Conference, Harris was fourth in rushing touchdowns, seventh in rushing yards and tied for seventh in rushing attempts. He was also tied for fifth in scoring among non-kickers and was 15th in all-purpose yards (735). At the national level, Harris ranked 44th in NCAA Division II in rushing touchdowns.

Harris finished with 100 combined yards in back-to-back games late in the season. He had 70 rushing yards and 55 receiving yards (125 total yards) in the win over West Texas A&M (Oct. 25), and had a season-best 112 rushing yards with two touchdowns in the win at Western New Mexico (Nov. 1). In the following game, Harris broke off a 59-yard touchdown run to open the scoring and finished with 83 rushing yards and two scores on just 12 attempts in the win over Eastern New Mexico (Nov. 8), and then he ran it 10 times for 74 yards and one touchdown while adding four catches (second time on the season) for 22 yards in the win over Sul Ross State (Nov. 15) during his Senior Day.

Harris scored a touchdown in three straight games twice during the year, including accumulating five touchdowns across the final three games of the regular season. He also had three games this year with two rushing touchdowns. Harris has accumulated at least eight rushing touchdowns in each of his final three seasons, and owns the UTPB careers records with 608 carries, 2,882 rushing yards, 32 rushing touchdowns and 198 points.

Tre Yanez – So., OLB – Second-Team All-LSC Defense
Yanez started in six games and played in all 11 games between the sam, will and mike linebacker positions during the regular season. He was third on the team with 33 total tackles, was fifth with 18 solo tackles, and was tied for fifth with 4.0 tackles for loss. He had eight tackles vs. No. 13 Central Washington (Oct. 11) and had a career-high 11 tackles vs. Eastern New Mexico (Nov. 8).

Caimon Mathis – So., S – Second-Team All-LSC Defense
Mathis started in all 11 games at cornerback during the regular season. In his first season as a Falcon, Mathis totaled 15 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and led the squad with 10 pass breakups. He was tied for second in the LSC in pass breakups and was tied for fifth in passed defended per game (1.00). He had a game-high three pass breakups in UTPB's season-opening victory over Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30), and had three games in a row with two pass breakups between October 18 at Western Oregon and November 1 at Western New Mexico.

Mason Schweinle – Jr., OG – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Schweinle was one of five Falcons on the offensive line to be named all-conference, and was one of four to be named honorable mention. He started at right guard in all 10 of his games played during the regular season. The Falcons' offense sat second in the LSC, averaging 39.5 points per game, 469.4 total yards per game and 328.5 passing yards per game. As a team, UTPB ranked third in the nation in passing offense, sixth in total offense and ninth in scoring offense.

Mekhi Pinckney – Gr., OT – Honorable Mention All-LSC
A team captain on the offensive line, Pinckney was also one of five Falcons on the offensive line to be named all-conference, and was one of four to be named honorable mention. He started all 11 games at right tackle during the regular season. It was his second season at UTPB, but was his first on the field after missing the 2024 season due to an injury. The Falcons' offense sat second in the LSC, averaging 39.5 points per game, 469.4 total yards per game and 328.5 passing yards per game. As a team, UTPB ranked third in the nation in passing offense, sixth in total offense and ninth in scoring offense.

Torbyn Eakins – Jr., OT – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Eakins was one of five Falcons on the offensive line to be named all-conference, and was one of four to be named honorable mention. In his first season as a Falcon after arriving from Morehead State University, Eakins started in each of the first 10 games of the season and tackle/guard before missing the regular-season finale. The Falcons' offense sat second in the LSC, averaging 39.5 points per game, 469.4 total yards per game and 328.5 passing yards per game. As a team, UTPB ranked third in the nation in passing offense, sixth in total offense and ninth in scoring offense.

Tyler Ball – Gr., C – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Ball was one of five Falcons on the offensive line to be named all-conference, and was one of four to be named honorable mention. During the regular season, he started all 11 games at center to lead the offensive line. The Falcons' offense sat second in the LSC, averaging 39.5 points per game, 469.4 total yards per game and 328.5 passing yards per game. As a team, UTPB ranked third in the nation in passing offense, sixth in total offense and ninth in scoring offense.

Caleb Sedegan – Jr., TE – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Sedegan was the team's starting tight end for all 11 games during the regular season after transferring in from Dodge City Community College. He totaled 15 receptions for 127 yards and a touchdown. He averaged 8.47 yards per catch and 11.55 receiving yards per game. He caught a two-point conversion vs. Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30), had three catches and caught his first touchdown as a Falcon vs. Midwestern State (Sept. 27), and again had three catches while totaling a season-high 40 receiving yards in the Falcons' big win at No. 5 Angelo State (Oct. 4).

TJ McKenzie – Gr., WR – Honorable Mention All-LSC
McKenzie played in all 11 games and started in eight of those games during the regular season. He led the Falcons' receiving corps with 593 receiving yards, was tied for first with six touchdowns, and was second with 39 receptions after joining the team this year from Ferris State University. With six touchdowns, he was tied for fourth on the team in scoring (36 points). He averaged 15.21 yards per catch and 53.91 receiving yards per game. He was 10th in the LSC in receptions and receiving yards, and was tied for eighth in receiving touchdowns.

He had at least one catch in each of the final 10 games of the regular season, had at least four catches in eight games, and scored a touchdown in five of six games during a stretch from September 6 at Adams State to October 18 at Western Oregon. McKenzie had six catches for 109 yards against WOU, setting a season-high in both catches and yards. His 109-yard game was also the 12th-highest receiving yard game in the LSC this season. Earlier in the year, McKenzie caught the game sealing touchdown on a nine-yard fade to the corner of the endzone on fourth-and-goal with 18 seconds left to play in UTPB's win at No. 5 Angelo State (Oct. 4).

Traylen Suel – Jr., WR – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Suel is a team captain who earns all-conference recognition this season as a wide receiver after being named First-Team All-LSC as a return specialist last season. Suel missed four games during the regular season (started in all 8 games played), but still led the team with 42 receptions, was third with 478 receiving yards, and was tied for third with five receiving touchdowns. With five touchdowns, he was tied for sixth on the team in scoring (30 points). He averaged 11.38 yards per catch and a team-best 59.75 yards per game. In the LSC, Suel was tied for second in yards per catch (5.3), was seventh in receiving yards per game, and was tied for eighth in total receptions.

Suel had at least three catches in all eight of his games played during the regular season, and had one receiving touchdown in four of his first five games played. In UTPB's season-opening victory over No. 5 Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30), Suel hauled in seven receptions for 95 yards and caught a 62-yard touchdown to make it a two-score game in the third quarter. It was his season-high in both receptions and receiving yards for Suel, who also caught seven passes for 72 yards and a touchdown in the win over West Texas A&M (Oct. 25). His two seven-catch performances were the most in any game by any Falcons' receiver this season. In the regular-season finale vs. Sul Ross State (Nov. 15), Suel completed his lone career pass attempt, which went for 33 yards on a double pass back to quarterback Kanon Gibson.

Jaylon Tillman – Gr., WR – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Tillman started in all eight of his games played during the regular season after transferring from Bowling Green State University. He tied for the team lead with six touchdown receptions, was fifth with 383 receiving yards, and was seventh with 19 receptions. He averaged 20.16 yards per catch and 38.30 receiving yards per game. Tillman was one of four Falcons' pass catchers with at least five receiving touchdowns and was one of five with over 300 receiving yards. He was second in the LSC in yards per catch and was tied for eighth in receiving touchdowns.

Tillman opened the scoring with a seven-yard touchdown at the end of the first quarter against Adams State (Sept. 6), his first touchdown of the year, and then ripped off a 70-yard touchdown, the seventh longest reception in the LSC this season, to help put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter at Texas A&M-Kingsville (Sept. 20). Tillman led the Falcons in receptions (5) and receiving yards (102), both season-highs, while also scoring a touchdown for the third game in a row with a 42-yard score in the win over Midwestern State (Sept. 27). Tillman continued to rack up the long touchdowns with a 60-yard score in the win at Western New Mexico (Nov. 1), giving him two of the 11 longest receptions in the LSC this season. He then finished the regular season with a two-touchdown performance vs. Sul Ross State (Nov. 15), UTPB's lone two-touchdown receiving performance of the season.

Kanon Gibson – Jr., QB – Honorable Mention All-LSC
The newcomer from West Texas A&M University, Gibson started in all 11 games at quarterback for the Falcons during the regular season. He is a team captain and was a two-time LSC Offensive Player of the Week. Gibson was the focal point of the Falcons' offense, passing for nearly 3,000 yards (2,981 yards) and 25 touchdowns for an average of 271.0 passing yards per game. He passed for a completion percentage of 60.65 percent (225-371) and only threw seven interceptions out of 371 attempts. Gibson was also one of three 300-yard rushers on the team during the regular season, accumulating 374 yards and eight touchdowns on 125 rushing attempts, only one less attempt than starting running back Kory Harris. Gibson passed for over 250 yards in each of the last nine games of the regular season and went over 300 yards in a game five times. He also had four games with at least three passing touchdowns, had four games with at least four combined touchdowns between the air and the ground, and had two games with five total touchdowns.

In the LSC, Gibson was rated second in efficiency (146.6); was tied for third in passing touchdowns; and was fourth in completions, passing attempts, completion percentage, total passing yards and passing yards per game. On the ground, he was tied for fifth in rushing touchdowns, was ninth in attempts, and was 17th in both total rushing yardage and rushing yards per game. Among non-kickers, he was tied for 10th in scoring (48 points) and was tied for 12th in points per game (4.4). Gibson piloted a Falcons' offense that sat second in the Lone Star Conference, averaging 39.5 points per game, 469.4 total yards per game and 328.5 passing yards per game. In all of NCAA Division II, Gibson was eighth in total offense, 10th in passing yards, 12th in points responsible for (198), 13th in passing yards per game and points responsible for per game (18.0), 43rd in passing yards per completion, and 44th in passing efficiency (146.60). As a team, UTPB ranked third in the nation in passing offense (328.5 ypg), sixth in total offense (469.4 ypg), ninth in scoring offense (39.5 ppg), and 34th in team passing efficiency (149.66).

Gibson had a scintillating debut in UTPB's season-opening win over No. 5 Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30), finishing 17-for-30 passing for 189 yards and two touchdowns, but was equally as impressive on the ground, putting his body on the line and taking off 20 times for 78 yards. In the team's win at Texas A&M-Kingsville (Sept. 20), Gibson totaled five touchdowns and completed 18-of-26 passes for 316 yards and three touchdowns while leading the team with 22 runs for 81 yards and two touchdowns, earning him his first of two offensive player of the week awards in a three-game span.

In the home win over Midwestern State (Sept. 27), Gibson was 19-for-26 passing for 269 yards and two touchdowns in the first half and would finish the game 21-for-29 passing for 331 yards and three touchdowns. Then in UTPB's huge win at No. 5 Angelo State (Oct. 4), Gibson would finish 27-for-41 passing for 293 yards and the game-sealing touchdown pass, and ran the ball 23 times for 39 yards and three first-half rushing touchdowns (career-high; T2nd most in the LSC this season). In addition to earning him his second offensive player of the week award of the season, Gibson's 18 points against the Rams were tied for third-most in a game in the LSC this season, while his 63 total plays ranked as the second most and his 23 rushing attempts were tied for first.

Gibson passed 28-for-40 for 348 yards (9th-most in the LSC) and two touchdowns, while on the ground, he ran it 17 times for 84 yards and two more touchdowns as UTPB fell at Western Oregon (Oct. 18). It was a season-high both passing yards and rushing yards for Gibson, whose 432 combined yards against the Wolves ranked fourth in the LSC this season. Playing against his former team, Gibson completed 29-of-45 passes for 293 yards and two touchdowns as the Falcons defeated West Texas A&M (Oct. 25) at home. His 29 completions against the Buffaloes were a season-high and were the ninth-most in the LSC this season.

In the win at Western New Mexico (Nov. 1), Gibson was 16-for-27 for 323 yards and three touchdowns; and in the win over Eastern New Mexico (Nov. 8), he finished 26-for-42 for 321 yards and two touchdowns and had eight rushes for 27 yards and a touchdown. Then in the final game of the regular season, Gibson showed why he is one of the best players in the Lone Star Conference, exploding for five touchdown passes (T1st in the LSC) through just two and a half quarters as the Falcons defeated Sul Ross State (Nov. 15). Gibson finished by completing 26 of his season-high 50 passes for 296 yards, and caught a 33-yard reception on a double pass back to him from Traylen Suel. Gibson's 50 passing attempts against the Lobos ranked as the fourth-most in the LSC this season while his five total touchdowns responsible for against TAMUK and SRSU were tied for the third-most.

In the UTPB record books, Gibson broke the Falcons' single-season records for completions (225), passing attempts (371) and passing yards (2,981) while his 25 passing touchdowns are the second-most in a single season. In addition, his 225 completions and 2,981 passing yards this season both already rank third in a career in program history.

Camden Tyler – Jr., RB – Honorable Mention All-LSC
UTPB's second team captain at running back, Tyler played in all 11 games during the regular season for the second year in a row, made two starts, and was third on the team in rushing attempts (53), rushing yards (335) and rushing touchdowns (4), good for a career-high in all three categories. He averaged 6.3 yards per carry and 30.45 rushing yards per game, and added seven catches for 54 yards. In addition to tying for 20th in the LSC in rushing yards, he was fifth in the conference in yards per carry. Tyler scored a 12-yard touchdown run to break a 21-21 tie the third quarter and put UTPB ahead for good in the big upset win at No. 5 Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30) during the first game of the season. At Western New Mexico (Nov. 1), Tyler ran nine times for 95 yards and had a 39-yard touchdown, all season-highs. He also had five rushes for 72 yards and a 34-yard touchdown against Eastern New Mexico (Nov. 8).

Diego Juarez – Fr., FB – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Juarez played in 11 games during the regular season and is a full back/tight end (played the U position – second tight end). Juarez highlighted his rookie campaign with two catches for 12 yards and a touchdown in the win at Western New Mexico (Nov. 1).

David Walker – Jr., DT – Honorable Mention All-LSC
In his first season at UTPB, Walker played in all 11 games during the regular season and made the start in three of those contests. A big-time presence on the edge, Walker totaled 17 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, and had one fumble recovery. He had a huge sack in UTPB's big win at No. 5 Angelo State (Oct. 4) and had a season-high five tackles at Western Oregon (Oct. 18). In one of his starts, he had his breakout game with three tackles and 2.0 sacks at Western New Mexico (Oct. 25), which was tied for fourth-most sacks in a single game in the LSC this season. In the Falcons' regular-season finale vs. Sul Ross State (Nov. 15), Walker recovered a quarterback fumble to position the Falcons at the five-yard line and set up a rushing touchdown by linebacker Tristan Exline.

Anthony Cunningham – Sr., DT – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Cunningham played in all 11 games during the regular season and made the start in two of those contests. A dominate force in the middle all year, he totaled 19 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and three quarterback hurries in his first season as a transfer from McKendree University. He recorded four tackles and one tackle for loss at Adams State (Sept. 6), added another big-time tackle for loss on fourth-and-one early on in the action at No. 5 Angelo State (Oct. 4), and had a season-high six tackles vs. Eastern New Mexico (Nov. 8).

Malik Allen – Sr., DE – Honorable Mention All-LSC
A team captain, Allen started in the first six games of the season before being bitten by the injury bug again. He totaled 19 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks in his limited action. He tied his career-high with six tackles in back-to-back games at Adams State (Sept. 6) and at Texas A&M-Kingsville (Sept. 20). Arguably his most dominate performance of the season came in UTPB's big win at No. 5 Angelo State (Oct. 4) in which he totaled two sacks for a loss of nine yards, tied for fourth-most sacks in a single game in the LSC this season.

Jacob Humphrey – Sr., DE – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Humphrey started in all seven of his games played during the regular season. A team captain this year, Humphrey recorded 25 tackles, was second on the team with 3.5 sacks, and was also tied for second on the squad with 4.5 tackles for loss, all career-highs at UTPB. A player known for showing up big in the big games, he opened his season with six tackles in the big win over No. 5 Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30); totaled 1.5 sacks in the win over Midwestern State (Sept. 27); shined with a season-high seven tackles and a sack fumble vs. No. 13 Central Washington (Oct. 11); and finished off the regular season with four total tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack during his Senior Day vs. Sul Ross State (Nov. 15).

Jayden Plater – So., CB – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Plater played in all 11 games during the regular season at cornerback after transferring in from Midwestern State University. He had 14 tackles, but more importantly, tied for the team lead with three interceptions and added three pass breakups. He had a key interception to help seal the win at Texas A&M-Kingsville (Sept. 20), and then made an interception for the second straight game in the contest vs. Midwestern State (Sept. 27). His three interceptions this season are tied for sixth in the LSC.

Layne Horak – Jr., S – Honorable Mention All-LSC
In his return season at UTPB, Horak played in all 11 games during the regular season at the safety position. In his return season at UTPB, he totaled 19 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and a sack, and had three pass breakups. He had three tackles and an eight-yard sack in UTPB's season-opening win over No. 5 Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30), and tied with teammate Tristan Exline for the team lead with seven tackles vs. Midwestern State (Sept. 27).

Jamarion Ravenell – Jr., S – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Another team captain, Ravenell played in 10 games during the regular season at the safety position. He totaled 18 tackles, but made his name by tying for the team lead with three interceptions and tying for second on team with six pass breakups. Ravenell's returned his first pick of the season 96 yards for a touchdown in UTPB's win at Adams State (Sept. 6), and then had his second interception in as many games in the win at Texas A&M-Kingsville (Sept. 20). The 96-yarder is good for the longest interception return in program history, surpassing the previous record of 88 yards set by D'Ondre Robinson vs. Southern Nazarene on February 27, 2021.

His three interceptions this season were tied for sixth in the LSC while his 121 interception return yards were the most in the conference. He was also seventh in passes defended per game (0.90, 9 total). He was one of nine players in the conference with a pick six this season, but had the longest such play at 96 yards.

Ravenell has five interceptions and 10 pass breakups over just the last two seasons. In all, he has recorded six interceptions in his three years at UTPB, which is tied for the second-most in program history. In addition, Ravenell is first in interception return yards (265) in UTPB history for a career and a single season (121 this year).

Kendrick Jones – Jr., NB – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Jones earns his second-straight honorable mention all-conference recognition after playing at the nickel position during all 11 games during the regular season. Jones earns his second-straight honorable mention all-conference recognition after seeing action in all 11 games during the regular season for the second year in a row. Jones was fourth on the team with 32 tackles and five pass breakups and was second on the squad with 25 solo tackles. He had at least four tackles in five games and had at least seven tackles in two of the Falcons' first three games of the season. He was second on the team with seven tackles while adding two pass breakups in the Falcons' season-opening win over No. 5 Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30), and was tied for second on the team with eight tackles in the team's conference-opening win at Texas A&M-Kingsville (Sept. 20). He also had a forced fumble against No. 13 Central Washington (Oct. 11).

Carson Loeb – Fr., DS – Honorable Mention All-LSC
Loeb played in all 11 games as the team's long snapper as a freshman.
 

UTPB is 9-2 overall and finished tied for second in the Lone Star Conference with a 7-2 record. In addition to having the second-winningest season in program history, the Falcons have now had three straight winning seasons under Head Coach Kris McCullough, who now with 26 wins, becomes the Falcons' all-time winningest coach. UTPB is headed to the NCAA Division II playoffs for the second time in program history and for the second time in three years. The Falcons and the ThunderWolves of Colorado State University Pueblo will square off starting at 1:02 p.m. Mountain Time / 2:02 p.m. Central Time on Saturday, November 22, in the ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colorado, in the first round of the playoffs.

Overall, 160 student-athletes were honored by the all-conference program, which also included honorable mention selections. The awards are voted on by the league's head coaches.
