2025 (Sophomore):
Named Second-Team All-LSC... Played in all 14 games between the sam, will and mike linebacker positions... Was third on the team with 52 total tackles and 26 solo tackles, and was tied for sixth with 4.5 tackles for loss... Had eight tackles vs. No. 13 Central Washington (Oct. 11) and had a career-high 11 tackles vs. Eastern New Mexico (Nov. 8)... Finished with eight tackles to go along with a pivotal forced fumble in the fourth quarter as No. 10 UTPB defeated No. 15 Western Colorado 21-15 in the second round of the playoffs. Yanez' forced fumble set up the Falcons' game-tying scoring drive, and then he added a pass breakup to bring up fourth-and-long for the Mountaineers in overtime... Had had nine tackles as No. 10 UTPB's historic season came to an end in the 2025 NCAA Division II Football Championship Super Region 4 Final with a 34-28 loss at No. 2 Harding.
