2025 (Redshirt Sophomore):
Named Second-Team All-LSC... Played all 14 games throughout the season and started in all 11 games at cornerback during the regular season... In his first season as a Falcon, Mathis totaled 18 tackles, an impressive 3.5 tackles for loss for a corner, and led the squad with 13 pass breakups... Led the LSC in pass breakups and was tied for fourth in passed defended per game (1.08)... Tied for 44th in passes defended per game in all of NCAA Division II... Had a game-high three pass breakups in UTPB's season-opening victory over Central Oklahoma (Aug. 30), and had three games in a row with two pass breakups between October 18 at Western Oregon and November 1 at Western New Mexico... Had two pass breakups as No. 10-ranked UTPB earned its first playoff win in program history with a 37-24 victory at No. 4-ranked and No. 3-seeded Colorado State Pueblo... Intercepted quarterback and Harlon Hill finalist Drew Nash on the first drive of the game and added a big pass breakup on fourth down to end the game in overtime as No. 10 UTPB defeated No. 15 Western Colorado 21-15 in the second round of the playoffs... Had one tackle in all three playoff games.
