KINGSVILLE, Texas - The University of Texas Permian Basin women's tennis fell on Saturday at Texas A&M - Kingsville, 7-0. 
 
The Falcons battled on court one in doubles against the No. 17 pairing in the country. Despite the back-and-forth battle, Brooke Runyan and Mattea Bowe were held off from the upset, 7-5.
 
Bowe had a close battle as well in singles in the first set but couldn't hang on, falling 7-6 (7-4), 6-0. On court six, Tuva Asplund fell 6-4, 6-4 while on two Lisa Guitton was defeated 6-4, 6-3.
 
UTPB is back at it tomorrow morning at Angelo State.
