MIDLAND, Texas - The University of Texas Permian Basin men's tennis team continues to roll after defeating Dallas Baptist 7-0 on Thursday. The Falcons cruised to the win at home to improve to 13-2 on the year.
"The men took care of business today against a DBU team that always fights hard. We now look to Sunday for a big match with UT Tyler," said head coach
Alex Hunt.
No. 34 UTPB had no issue dealing with DBU on Thursday. The Falcons got things going with a sweep of the doubles point, dropping just four games in the process.
The team carried that momentum over to singles play. No. 26
Vitaliy Horovoy made quick work on court one with a 6-1, 6-1 win.
Jonas Krahofer easily won his match, 6-0, 6-2 on court five while
Lucas Nitzschke cruised on court six, 6-2, 6-0.
The Falcons welcome No. 13 UT Tyler on Sunday to Bush Tennis Center for a match-up between two of the top teams in the Lone Star Conference.
