FRESNO, California - The University of Texas Permian Basin women's tennis team fell in the final match of their California road trip at Fresno Pacific, 5-2.
 
Paige Bott and Teodora Vrucan earned a win on court three in doubles, 7-5, but it wasn't enough as the Sunbirds took the contests on courts one and two for the point.
 
The duo picked up the lone victories in singles for UTPB. Vrucan won the first set and led in the second before winning the match on a retirement, 6-3, 3-0. Bott faced little resistance in the second set in her 6-4, 6-0 victory. The Sunbirds were too much to overcome as they won matches on the other four courts to claim the match.
 
The Falcons return to Texas to face DBU in Lone Star Conference action on March 21.
