WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The University of Texas Permian Basin women's cross country team ran at the Mustang Derby.  The Falcons, who ran a 4K, scored 160 points to finish 5^th.

Midwestern State took the top five spots to score 15 points and win 51 over Dallas Baptist.  Rounding out the top five was Oklahoma City (3^rd – 98 points), Southeastern Oklahoma (4^th - 101 points) and UTPB.

For UTPB, the top runner was senior Alauna Stackhouse who ran 16:39.60 to place 22^nd.  Rounding out the squad was senior Miranda Hernandez (17:52.90 – 33rd), sophomore Kayla Cepeda (18:37.60- 34^th), sophomore Yanitza Olivares (18:59.50 – 35th) and junior Odalis Lujan (21:35.00 – 36th).

UT Permian Basin will compete at the Texas Tech Open, Friday, September 15 in Lubbock, Texas.
