GEORGETOWN, Texas - Freshman Paige Bott picked up two wins as The University of Texas Permian Basin women's tennis team faced off against Texas State and Southwestern (Texas).  This was the final day of the SU Quad.

In singles action, Bott beat Valeria Gracia of Southwestern (6-1, 6-2).  In the first round of doubles, Bott and freshman Mattea Bowe beat Lauren Chisholm and Sydney Wahl of Southwestern (8-4).

In the second round of doubles, sophomore Tuva Asplund and junior Teodora Vrucan beat Kimberly Duncan and Gracia of Southwestern (8-2).

"The women played some high-quality tennis all the way around. I'm very happy with how we played and seeing how they are implementing the new ideas we have started practicing recently. Got a lot of work to do still, but we are headed in the right direction. The future is looking good!"

UT Permian Basin heads to Arlington, Texas, Thursday, Sept. 21 to compete in the ITA Regional.
