GEORGETOWN, Texas - Sophomore Montserrat Salazar had a strong performance as The University of Texas Permian Basin women's tennis team faced off against Texas State and Southwestern (Texas).

Salazar went 2-0 beating Kimberly Duncan (6-4,6-4) and Valeria Garcia (6-4, 3-6, 11-9 Tie Breaker).  Both players were from Southwestern.

Freshman Paige Bott beat Mae McCutcheon of NCAA Division I Texas State 7-6, 6-4.

Junior Teodora Vrucan beat Sydney Wahl (Southwestern) (7-5, 6-2).

UT Permian Basin closes out the SU Quad, Saturday, Sept. 16.
