LUBBOCK, Texas – The University of Texas Permian Basin women's cross-country team ran at the Mustang Derby.  This was a 6K race.

West Texas A&M scored 42 points to win by 20 points over Texas Tech (62).  Rounding out the top five was Oklahoma (3^rd – 112 points), New Mexico Junior College (4^th - 119 points) and St. Edwards (5^th – 125 pts).

For UTPB, the top runner was senior Alauna Stackhouse who ran 26:54.00 to place 73^rd.  Rounding out the squad was senior Miranda Hernandez (29:26.50 – 100^th) and sophomore Yanitza Olivares (32:41.20 – 119^th).

UT Permian Basin is off until Saturday, Oct. 7 when they compete in the DBU old Glory Gallop.
