ODESSA, Texas - The University of Texas Permian Basin women's tennis team has continued to build its best class in program history, now with the addition of two-star recruit Chloe O'Connor from Boerne, Texas.
 
O'Connor was a decorated player at the high school level, taking Boerne High School to the 2020-21 and 2022-23 UIL Team Tennis finals. She also finished in third at the state competition in 2022 and was named to the 4A THSCA Team Tennis Super Elite Team. In addition, the two-star prospect was named the 2022 4A UIL Female Team Tennis Athlete of the Year.
 
O'Connor is the 54^th ranked played in Texas and 68^th ranked player within the Gulf States. She joins a UTPB team that has signed its highest-rated class in program history, featuring one other ranked player (three-star Mattea Bowe) and two international players (Paige Bott and Sweta Rana). O'Connor plans to major in electrical engineering while at UTPB.
