SILVER CITY, NM – UT Permian Basin rallied back to grab a 5-2 win over conference foe Western New Mexico Saturday afternoon.
Western pulled ahead in doubles taking two of the three matches. However, the Falcons came back strong in singles play to win five out of the last six matches.
"Brooke and Lisa extended their win streak at number 3 doubles, that was good to see," said Head Coach
Alex Hunt. "We took 5 of 6 singles matches against a talented WNMU team. I'm very proud of how the ladies handled the environment as well. WNMU had a star on their calendar for us and they had tons of people out there watching. It was a pretty loud, hectic experience, but our girls took to the singles courts and shut them down."
