DALLAS, Texas – The University of Texas Permian Basin women's cross-country team ran at the DBU Old Glory Gallop.  This was a 5K race.

Dallas Baptist scored 34 points to win by 63 points over Oklahoma Baptist (97).  Rounding out the top five was East Central (3^rd – 100 points), Harding (4^th - 137 points) and Texas State (5^th – 167 pts).

The Falcons scored 803 points to place 27^th of 33 teams.

For UTPB, the top runner was junior Edith Valdez who ran 20:28.10 to finish 110^th.  Rounding out the squad was sophomore Kayla Cepeda (21:32.80 – 156^th), Miranda Hernandez (22:00.60 – 165^th), sophomore Julie Tejada (23:45.00 – 184^th) and sophomore Yanitza Olivares (24:21.00 – 188^th).

UT Permian Basin is off until Saturday, Oct. 21 when they compete at the Lone Star Conference Championships.
