UT Permian Basin Competes At Lone Star Conference Championship

PORTALES, N.M. – The University of Texas Permian Basin women's cross-country team ran at the Lone Star Conference Championship.  This was a 6K race.

West Texas A&M went 1-23 to score 20 points, winning by 30 points over Dallas Baptist.  Rounding out the top five was Midwestern State (3rd – 112 pts), St. Edward's (4th – 147 pts) and Oklahoma Christian (5th – 168 pts).

The Falcons scored 381 points to place 14th.

For UTPB, the top runner was Alauna Stackhouse who ran 25:18.96 to place 61st.  Rounding out the squad was junior Edith Valdez (26:29.04 – 82nd), senior Miranda Hernandez (27:55.79 – 98th), sophomore Kayla Cepeda (28:16.35 – 101st), sophomore Julie Tejada (28:58.66 – 106th) and junior Odalis Lujan (30:44.65 – 110th).
