Needing a win in their final match of the regular season to guarantee a spot in the Lone Star Conference playoffs, UT Permian Basin Women's Tennis took care of business in impressive fashion with a 7-0 win over Western New Mexico.  The win was the Falcons first sweep over a Division II opponent since 2014. 
 
The Falcons took two of the three doubles matches to take the point.  Lore Mewis cruised to the singles win, only dropping a game.  Krystal Smith, Rhea Singh, and Lisa Guitton all won in straight sets.  Teodora Vrucan came back after dropping the first set to win in three while Brooke Runyan took sets one and two 6-0 for the win and the shutout.
 
On the men's side things were tight.  The Falcons battled with wins by Patryk Kosinski, Roberto Garcia, and Jorge Garcia to have a chance for the win.  Unfortunately the Falcons couldn't pull off two matches that went to a decisive third set for the 4-3 final.
