The men took their doubles matches handily heading into singles play.
Patryk Kosinski was taken to a third set but won it 10-5.
Timon Kohler and
Jonah Neumaier faced little resistance as both won 6-0, 6-1.
"The men got off to a great start in doubles," said Head Coach
Stan Anderson. "The bottom half of our lineup played really well to secure the match, our depth really showed today. We were able to play some freshman and get them more experience. The women started slow but played better as the matches progressed."
Next up for the women is an LSC showdown with Texas A&M – Kingsville tomorrow. The men are back in action on Thursday against Texas Lutheran. Download the UTPB Athletics App to follow the team all season long.
