Morgan Helgesen had it going in the second half for UT Permian Basin Women's Basketball, scoring nine of her team high 14 points. The freshman knocked down a trio of three-pointers to go along with three rebounds and a pair of assists.
Holly Hemmeline also had it going from deep, scoring 13 points connecting on three threes.

Rory Carter connected on threes to start the game for the Falcons. The Patriots built a small lead, but Hemmeline kept the Falcons around with another three. The Patriots stayed hot from the field, but the Falcons kept things interesting.
Morgan Helgesen scored five straight and Hemmeline buried another three heading into the locker room.
Hemmeline started the second half with five straight points before Helgesen sank three free throws to add to her point total. The Falcons struggled to contain the size of the Patriots who shot … percent from the field in the … final.
Carter finished with nine points and a team high five rebounds in the effort.
