UT Permian Basin Women's Basketball owned the rebound battle Saturday afternoon against Midwestern State. The Falcons pulled down 36 rebounds to the Mustangs 28.
Ogechi Nwodo came within a point of her first career double-double with nine points and a game high 10 rebounds.
The Falcons had it going offensively right from the opening tip.

Morgan Helgesen got the offense going in the second half with a layup and foul for a three-point play. She'd hit a jumper on the next possession and Portalis followed with a bucket of her own to give the Falcons a 37-36 lead. A 10-0 Mustang run swung the momentum before
Ally Haman ended the run.
Kim Best kept the deficit at single digits with a late basket heading into the fourth.
The Falcons struggled to find an offensive rhythm in the fourth quarter as the Mustangs pulled away for the 70-58 final. Munoz led the offense with 14 points along with five assists and four boards. Best chipped in eight points while Portalis finished with seven and a pair of assists.
