Quinntez Grimes burst out in a big way on Saturday for UT Permian Basin Men's Basketball, scoring a season high against Midwestern State. Grimes went 7-for-8 shooting scoring 15 points and led the team with six rebounds. This is the highest point total in Grimes career since collecting 21 points last year against Dallas Baptist.

The Falcons biggest run of the game was a 7-0 run that started with Grimes. He made a layup and got the and-one from the line. That was followed by a jumper from
Jordan Horn and a couple made free throws from
Kendal Frey. It wasn't enough as the Falcons fell 68-53.
Â
Horn led the Falcons with 16 points as he was 4-for-9 from beyond the arc followed by Grimes' 15.
DaJuan Jones led the Falcons with three assists.
Â
As a team the Falcons held the Mustangs to five second chance points while they had 15. Â They did not miss a shot from the charity stripe as they went 9-for-9. The Falcons also led in offensive rebounds as they had 13 to the Mustangs five. The Falcons only turned the ball over seven times as they protected the basketball for the majority of the game.
