The Falcon defense stepped up in a big way to close out their LSC - RMAC Challenge, forcing 33 turnovers against South Dakota Mines. The Falcons tied the fourth most forced turnovers in program history and tied the most in the
Rae Boothe era.

The last time the Falcons forced 33 turnovers was against Texas A&M International on December 29, 2018. They were nine away from tying the record at 42 turnovers that happened against Sul Ross on November 15, 2010.

The Falcons took a 19-4 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back after that as they won the game 63-36.

The defense had 20 steals in the game with
Avalon Munoz leading the way with seven. Â
Rory Carter,
Kamari Portalis and
Alexis Popham each had three steals of their own.

Alexus Wykoff led the offense for the Falcons with 12 points while Munoz had nine and
Ally Haman ended with eight.
Alexus Quaadman led in rebounds with nine as five of those were offensive and had the only block.
