Monika Cantu picked up her first singles victory of the year in straight sets on Saturday.  Cantu won 6-1,6-1 over Julia Terrazas of Western New Mexico.  THe Falcons had a good doubles day, with a pair of teams reaching the finals of their flights.  Lisa Guitton and Sofia Rishmagui fell in a tightly contested match 8-6.  Maria and Briones reached the their flights finals and fell 8-5.  

"All of our matches today were very competitive, but came up just short on a few points," said Head Coach Stan Anderson. "The fall has given us a chance to learn what we need to improve on for the spring.  I was pleased with our doubles play this weekend.  We got to see the very best Lone Star Conference, and we competed well.  We will now be able to work on individual skills for each player in preparation for the spring."
