Paulina Obreque scored a big decisive win for UT Permian Basin women's tennis as the Falcons grabbed a 4-3 win over Southeastern Oklahoma State Sunday afternoon in Arlington, Texas.

Obreque's match, the last to finish, broke a 3-3 tie and gave the Falcons the win with her three-set, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory.

"The women competed confidently today and earned their best win of the season over Southeastern Oklahoma State," said head coach Guillaume Gauthier. "Paulina stepped up big when her team needed her at the #5 singles position for a huge win."

UTPB also got singles wins by #2 Amelie Saint-Dizer 6-4, 6-4 and #6 Anastasia Obreque 6-0, 6-2. UTPB  won the doubles point with wins at #1 7-6 by Stephanie Prats & Maria Briones, and Saint-Dizier and Madison Hoetling 6-1 at #3.

Raul Stevens and Jordan Minjoot earned a win at #3 doubles for the men, going the distance to defeat Jason Roberts & Juan Scoppetta 7-6 (9-7).

Stevents added one of two more singles wins, defeating Sandro Lena 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (4) at #2 singles. Enrique Sanchez also won at #4 singles 2-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-4)
