UT Permian Basin women's tennis dropped a pair of Lone Star Conference matches this weekend, falling 6-3 Friday afternoon against Tarleton State and 6-3 Saturday afternoon against Texas A&M - Kingsville.
UTPB took three singles matches in the Friday contest against Tarleton State. Maria Briones won in three sets at #3 singles, Eugenia Sanchez took a two-set victory at #5 singles, and Paulina Obreque won in a two-set retirement at #6 singles.
Fernanda Orona won the Falcons lone singles match against Kingsville, taking a 6-4, 6-0 #1 singles win. Briones and Orona won 9-8 in #1 doubles, and Madison Hoetling and Amelie Saint-Dizier took the #3 doubles match 8-6.
