UT Permian Basin women's tennis' season came to a close Friday afternoon as the Falcons lost in the quarterfinals of the 2018 Lone Star Conference Championships 5-2 against Tarleton State at the HEB Tennis Center in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The Falcons took an early lead, winning two of three doubles matches. Andrea Villalobos and Eugenia Sanchez went extra points to defeat Erika Johnston and Neetika Sud 9-7, and Madison Hoetling and Amelie Saint-Dizier won handily 8-3.

Tarleton State went on to win the four completed singles matches to take the 5-2 victory.
