UT-Permian Basin women's tennis got the weekend started off on the right foot Friday afternoon, picking up an 8-1 road victory against McMurry in Abilene.
UTPB swept the doubles matches, with
Lisa Roslanova and
Fernanda Orona taking #1 singles in straight games 8-0.
Andrea Villalobos and
Kaleigh Smith picked up another commanding 8-1 win at #2 singles, while Megan and
Shelby Greene won the #3 singles match 9-7.
The dominance continued in singles play as UTPB won five of six contests with its only loss coming due to injury retirement.
Roslanova took the #1 singles win 6-2, 6-2, with doubles partner Orona winning at #2 singles 6-1, 6-3.
Smith won 6-4, 6-2 at #4 singles, with Shelby Green taking a 6-1, 6-2 victory at #5 singles.
Sydney Holdampf continued the winning for the Falcons with a 6-4, 6-2 #6 singles triumph.
