UT-Permian Basin women's tennis started the weekend off on the right foot, earning a 6-3 win on the road at Western New Mexico Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons picked up the majority of their points in singles action.
Lisa Roslanova took the win at #1 singles 6-0, 6-1.
Fernanda Orona won 1-6, 6-3, 6-1 at #2 singles. The Falcons took the #4, 5, and 6 singles matches as
Kaleigh Smith earned a 6-2, 6-3 victory, Shelgy Greene won 6-3, 4-6, 10-3 and
Sydney Holdampf took a 6-1, 6-0 decision.
Andrea Villalobos and Smith earned the team's win in doubles action, taking an 8-1 win.
The Falcons are back in action on the road Sunday against New Mexico State.
