Men's ResultsWomen's ResultsUTPB men's and women's tennis opened up its 2015 schedule Tuesday afternoon as the men finished with a 5-4 win and the women went undefeated against University of the Southwest in six matches of a 6-0 win in Hobbs, N.M.
Lisa Roslanova (8-2),
Krissy Chavez (8-6),
Andrea Villalobos (8-0) and
Olivia Baltazar (8-1) each earned singles wins for the women, while
Alexandra Maytubby & Villalobos earned an 8-1 doubles win and
Sydney Holdampf and
Shelby Greene won 8-2.
Thomas Rice (7-5, 6-2),
Devon Douglis (1-6, 6-2, 11-9),
Mateus Munhoz (6-2, 6-2) and
Caio Aguiar (7-6, 6-1) all earned singles victores on the men's side, and Ismael Quinones and
Josh Jones combined for the team's lone 8-5 doubles victory.
Both teams are back in action this weekend in Dallas, where the men face SMU and Arkansas-Pine Bluff and the women take on Tarleton State.
