Former UTPB men's basketball player Keandre Derrick is playing his rookie season as a professional in the ABA with the Dallas Impact.  Recently on January 18^th, Derrick totaled 43 points and six rebounds in a victory for his team.
 
Derrick, a 2012 UTPB graduate, played for the Falcons for two seasons and was a member of 2011 Heartland Conference championship team.  Derrick ranks 2^nd in UTPB basketball history in career free throw shooting percentage (82.9%), 3^rd in free throws made (180), and 6^th in field goal percentage (48.8%).
