The University of Texas of the Permian Basin women's tennis team won all nine matches Sunday afternoon in picking up a 9-0 win over Our Lady of the Lake at the Bush Tennis Center in Midland Texas.
Casey Acosta won the closest match of the day, winning at #1 singles 6-3, 6-4.
Alehanna Kehr-Gomez won 6-0, 6-2 at #2 singles, while Krissy Chavez dropped one game in each set in winning 6-1, 6-1 at #3 singles. Olivia Balthazar won 6-0, 6-1 at #4 singles,
Ynez Sanchez swept at #5 singles 6-0, 6-0 and
Sydney Holdampf won at #6 singles 6-1, 6-0.
UTPB was as successful in its doubles matches, dropping just eight combined games in the three matches. Baltazar and Chavez took the win at #1 doubles 8-6, while Acosta and Sanchez won at #2 doubles 6-2. Shelbey Green and Kehr-Gomez were perfect at #3 doubles, winning 8-0.
The Falcons return to the courts March 8 against Dallas Baptist.
