The University of Texas of the Permian Basin women's tennis team took an impressive 8-1 victory over Schreiner. 
 
The Falcons swept the doubles competition to take an early 3-0 lead to open the match.  At the No. 2 spot, Jordan Turner and Breigh Shotwell made quick work of Lindsay Fox and Kelly Spahn with an 8-1 win.  Ynez Sanchez and Olivia Baltazar took an 8-5 victory over Teresa Gaitan and Haley Richards at the No. 1 position. 
 
Playing her first tennis match for UTPB, Shayla Estes teamed with Brittany Farmer for an 8-6 win over Lynne Collenback and Becky Chiarro. 
 
In singles play, Mitchell gave the Falcons a 4-0 lead after her 6-2, 6-2 straight-set win over Chiarro at the No. 6 spot before Sanchez clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at the No. 2 position. 
 
Shotwell continued the Falcons' dominance at the No. 1 spot with a 6-0, 6-4 victory, while Turner won her match 6-2, 6-4 at the No. 4 spot.  Estes rounded out the singles victories with a 6-0, 6-3 win at the No. 5 position.
