PUEBLO, Colo. – Alicia Irwin scored a goal two and a half minutes into overtime to lift Colorado State-Pueblo to a 2-1 victory over The University of Texas of the Permian Basin.
Hannah Dozier gave UTPB an early lead with her second goal of the season when
Kaylen Gerkey gave her a pass through the penalty box which she scored on the far side. Her score came at the 23:11 mark and the Falcons would keep the lead at the half.
Gabby Gonzales tied the match at one at the 53 minute mark on an unassisted goal for one of her four shots on goal. As a team, the Thunderwolves took 27 total shots including 16 on goal. The Falcons on the other hand took six shots, all of which were on goal.
Dozier was the main offensive threat for UTPB as she took five of the team's six shots with
Nicole Rodine taking the other.
The loss moved the Falcons to 1-4 on the year and they will host Northeastern State at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
