SAN ANTONIO – Leroy Urbina went 2-for-3 with five runs batted in and hit back-to-back homers to power the University of the Incarnate Word to a 10-5 victory over the University of Texas of the Permian Basin baseball team.

Urbina hit a two-run shot in the second inning, before hitting a three-run blast in the fourth. Jacob Rodriguez followed suit as he hit a solo shot after Urbina's three-run job giving the Cardinals a 6-0 advantage. Incarnate Word finished with 13 hits, five of which were for extra bases.

The Cardinals would tack on another run in the bottom of the fifth before the Falcons finally got on the board with a run in the top of the sixth. Jeremy Miller started the inning when he was hit by a pitch before Travis Wilcox moved him to second on a single to center. A sacrifice bunt by Austin Wooldridge moved both runners over before Miller scored on a wild pitch.

UTPB made the game interesting as it plated three more runs in the seventh off two hits, including a two-run double to center by Wilcox. Hugo Hernandez started the rally with a one-out walk before Andy Quiring was hit by a pitch. A passed ball moved both runners up before Miller singled in Hernandez. Wilcox's double closed the gap to 7-4 after the rally.

The Falcons would strike again in the eighth when Chandler Goode doubled in Hugo Hernandez, who doubled to left field.

Incarnate Word shifted the momentum in its favor in the bottom of the eighth after plating three runs off three hits, including a two-run single by Steven Vidaurri.

UTPB finished with eight hits with Miller going 3-for-4 at the plate with an RBI, while Wilcox had two hits and two runs batted in. The Falcons fell to 4-7 on the year and have now lost six-straight. They will return home on Friday for a three-game series with St. Edward's at Roden Field.
