The University of Texas of the Permian Basin women's soccer team saw its season come to an end as top-seeded Dallas Baptist took a 4-0 win in the semifinal round of the Heartland Conference Tournament. 
 
The Patriots scored early and often, including a goal just under three minutes into play when Lea Sedwick took a through pass from Danielle Presley.  At the 25:28 mark, Presley rebounded in her own shot off goal keeper Alexis Frueh giving Dallas Baptist a 2-0 edge. 
 
Less than four minutes remaining in the first half, Baylie Hill one-touched a corner kick from Lindsay Cox before Stephanie Harrison rifled in a shot that went through the posts, making it 3-0. 
 
The score would stay that way until Presley struck again, this time rebounding a shot off the post at the 48:32 mark. 
 
Dallas Baptist out-shot the Falcons 19-7, including 9-3 in shots on goal.  Hannah Dozier was the main offensive threat for UTPB with three shots, one of which was on goal, while Kaylen Gerkey got two shots off. 
 
The Falcons finished their season with a 4-13-1 record and a fourth-place regular-season finish.
