ODESSA, Texas (October 12, 2026) – Due to potential rain fall and lightning storms throughout the week in Odessa, the home match for The University of Texas Permian Basin women's soccer team vs. West Texas A&M University on Wednesday, October 14, at 6 p.m. has been moved to Tuesday, October 13, at 3 p.m.

It will be the final home match before Senior Day for UTPB (4-9-0 overall, 1-9-0 Lone Star Conference). WT (5-5-3, 4-3-2), meanwhile, is riding a four-match winning streak in which it has scored multiple goals in each match. The Lady Buffs (14 points) are one point ahead of St. Mary's University (13 points) for the eighth spot in the LSC Women's Soccer Tournament.

In their matchup last year in Canyon, Texas, UTPB scored twice in the final four minutes of the first half and ultimately tied WT 2-2 on a windy Wednesday night at The Pitch. During their last meeting in Odessa, Texas, back in 2023, the Falcons earned an historic 5-1 win, the first win in program history against WT and the largest margin of the victory for the Falcons in an LSC match.
