HOBBS, N.M. (April 10, 2026) – The University of Texas Permian Basin women's golf team played in its final action of the regular season on Friday, competing in a dual match (medal match format) at New Mexico Junior College. In the end, the Falcons and the Thunderbirds tied 3-3 at the Rockwind Community Links Golf Club.

No. 1 & No. 2: Lorena Etxeberria matched up against NMJC's top two players. She tied 78-78 against Stefany Crozier and won 78-85 against Ronja Nordell, giving her 1.5 points earned towards the team total.

No. 3: Lakshita Pragnya lost by just one stroke, 78-79, against Dear Phermthongmak.

No. 4: Carlota Gutierrez tied Jordyn Cruz 86-86.

No. 5: Nat Armenta fell 83-89 against Chase Fields.

No. 6: Ella Veretto won 82-91 against Zoe Munoz.

Next up for the Falcons is the Lone Star Conference Championship. The championship begins in just three days on Monday, April 13, from the Rockwall Golf & Athletic Club in Rockwall, Texas.
