A pair of freshmen led the Falcons during round one, but it was the three sophomores who all improved their scores during the next round and in turn, helped UTPB improve its team score during round two.

Nat Armenta (90-83; 173; +31) made a seven-stroke improvement and tied for 51st.

"This week was definitely a learning experience for all of these young ladies," spoke UTPB Head Golf Coach Paul Chavez. "Overall, we were just inconsistent, but that could have been anticipated as we have not been able to practice or play very much because of the artic conditions. However, we will move forward and keep working hard, and hopefully that will produce better results."

The Falcons will be at the Rattler Invitational on February 23-24 hosted by St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas.
