ODESSA, Texas (October 17, 2025) – The UT Permian Basin men's golf team has been ranked No. 13 in the first National Collegiate Golf Rankings (Clippd Scoreboard rankings) of the 2025-26 season. It is the second-highest ranking in program history after the Falcons ranked as high as No. 11 in November 2023.

Individually, UTPB had three players ranked in the top-50 nationally, starting with junior Ioan Rowe at No. 10. Junior Nizar Bourehim is No. 21 and senior Will Tate is No. 45.

"When I took over the UTPB golf program, I knew there was work to be done," said Head Coach Paul Chavez. "My goal was to lead the Falcon golf program to national prominence and win championships. These young men have bought into working hard, being a good teammate, playing fearlessly, and having a winning attitude. As a result, we are currently ranked No. 13 in the country and are riding a major hot streak. We are on the verge of making history, and the kids are excited about what is happening with the program."

The Falcons are also ranked third in the South Central Region, trailing West Texas A&M University and St. Mary's University, which are ranked No. 7 and No. 8 nationally. Individually in the region, Rowe is ranked No. 2, Bourehim is No. 6, and Tate is No. 13.

The first National Collegiate Golf Rankings of the 2025/26 season are now live on the Scoreboard website.
