Arnie Taguines up the leaderboard at the NCAA West Regional at Brookside Country Club in Stockton, California. The sophomore moved up 31 spots and is currently tied for 17 at +2 (146).
Taguines was one of just 10 players on the day to shoot under par with her -2 (70). She started slowly with bogeys on two of her first three holes before righting the ship. Birdies on holes 4 and 6 got her back to even par before birdies on 10 and 12 got her under par for the round.
She trails the leaders by seven shots. Madison Murr of Cal State San Marcos, Brady Turnquist of Biola, and Kylie Severin of Colorado State-Pueblo lead the pack at -5 (139). West Texas A&M jumped into the team lead at -3 (573).
Taguines has a chance to better improve her position in tomorrow's final round.
