THACKERVILLE, Oklahoma - After two rounds of the Lone Star Conference Championships at WinStar Golf Club in Thackerville, Oklahoma, Arnie Taguines is fourth as an individual.
 
Taguines had a strong opening round at -2 (70) before following it up with an E (72). The sophomore had seven birdies on the day and sits five shots off the lead at -2 (142) overall.
 
Ainhoa Gurrachaga came out firing and led after round one at -4 (68) but struggled in the second round shooting +9 (81) to fall back to 31st. Gabriela Maldonado carded a +1 (73) in the second round to move to 35th overall at +7 (151). Katrin Davidsdottir is 64th at +21 (165) while Amanda Davidsson sits in 67th at +23 (167).
 
The Falcons are 10th as a team through the first day at +28 (604). They trail DBU who leads the way at -7 (569). Taguines trails Julia Garcia of DBU who leads the field at -7 (137).
 
UTPB is back at it for the final round of the LSC Championships tomorrow morning.
