PEBBLE BEACH, California - Ainhoa Gurrachaga finished sixth at the Poppy Hills Patriot Invite at Poppy Hills Golf Club in Pebble Beach, California. As a team, the University of Texas Permian Basin women's golf team placed sixth in the event.
 
Gurrachaga used a strong second round of +1 (71) to jump up the leaderboard in her eventual +10 (223) final score. On the week she carded nine birdies, with three in each round.
 
Arnie Taguines finished 20th with a +16 (229). She opened the event with a +2 (73) that featured three birdies. Gabriela Maldonado was 42nd at +26 (239) while Katrin Daivdsdottir was 46th at +27 (240) and Amanda Davidsson was 51st at +29 (242).
 
Dallas Baptist was the team champion at +22 (874) while DBU's Julia Garcia won the individual crown at -4 (209), winning by nine strokes.
 
The Falcons are off until April 1 when they head to Tucson, Arizona for the West Texas A&M Desert Invite.
