The University of Texas Permian Basin football program signed 38 student-athletes on National Signing Day on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. These athletes join the 17 transfers who came on board mid-year. 

This new class comes after a historic season for UTPB Football with the team winning their first-ever Lone Star Conference Championship in 2023! Head Coach Kris McCullough definitely made a name for himself after the huge success from his first season leading the Falcons. Now that McCullough has gained some momentum, he's confident his latest recruits will help ensure the Falcons stay on top.

"It's a great day that you get to add a bunch of talent, we're adding 38 high school signees. We have 15 returning starters from a year ago, we lost seven starters, all conference guys. But we did get 17 midyear transfers in," said McCullough. "This class in my eight years of coaching I think is the best class top to bottom that we've ever had."

So how do the new players line-up? The Falcons signed 12 offensive linemen who will be protecting the five quarterbacks signed. We're also bringing six new wide receivers, five tight ends, and three running backs.

Defensively the Falcons signed 10 defensive backs, nine defensive linemen, and three linebackers. For special teams two kickers were recruited.
