Box Score LUBBOCK, TX – UT Permian Basin and Lubbock Christian University locked horns in a meet that came down to the final matches in Lone Star Conference play Sunday afternoon.
Paul Schwieger picked wins in both doubles play, with his partner Hector Flores (6-4), and in singles play (6-3, 6-2) to keep the Falcons in the hunt.
In the end, LCU was one win better and took the match 4-3.

"We fell short today not because of quality of play," said Head Coach Alex Hunt. "We fell short just because LCU clutched it out today. I feel we have not done a great job as a team of moving past some disappointing moments this spring.  That being said, we saw lots of good things today. Our singles lineups 3-6 are playing incredible tennis."
 
UTPB will return home to host a double-header on Saturday, April 8 in Midland at the Bush Tennis Center. The Falcons will play McMurry at 9am. At noon, there will be a ceremony to honor the UTPB seniors. The Falcons will then play Sul Ross State at 2pm.
