Hall Homers for Falcons Against UT Tyler

ODESSA, TX – The UT Permian Basin baseball program could neither slow down the Patriots' bats nor figure out their pitching staff, recording just five runs and 11 hits in two seven inning setbacks, 17-2 and 16-3.

Austin Hall blasted his third career home run as a Falcon in the second inning of game two, adding a single and a walk to his line in game one as well.

Taylor McDaniel and Jay DeSoto rounded out the extra-base hit contributors on the day as each student-athlete collected a double with DeSoto's being of the pinch-hit variety, driving home Stephen MacKenzie who was one of four Falcons with runs batted in.

Ryan Robinson was the only pitcher to come away with an unscathed ERA, tossing a scoreless frame in which he struck out two of the four batters he faced.

Mason Hamlin and Brent Rigtrup both drew one free pass each while Brandon Sheets brought in the final ribbie of the twin bill on an error by the third baseman during the club's final at-bat.

Texas Permian Basin will look to bounce back and even the series at noon on Sunday inside Roden Field in a crucial Lone Star Conference showdown.
