CANYON – The UT Permian Basin Falcons came right at the West Texas A&M Buffs on Sunday's final game of the series, but one late inning lifted the Buffs over the Falcons 15-7.
UTPB got on the board first off a two run, homerun from
Carson Johnson and a
Jack Haggerty SAC fly to take an early 3-0 lead over WT.
RBI singles from
Christian Rodriguez,
Cooper Ciesielski,
Taylor McDaniel, and
Austin Hall all accounted for four more runs for the Falcons in the later innings.
The Falcon Pitching staff was led by
Parker Goin with had two strikeouts in four innings pitched.
UTPB returns home for a four game set against Eastern New Mexico. Game one will be Friday at 2 pm, double header Saturday is scheduled to start at noon, and game four will be on Sunday scheduled to start at Noon.
