INDIANAPOLIS, IN – In the final day for UT Permian Basin at the NCAA National Championship meet, one woman made history and a diver took home an All-American honor.
Freshman
Carter Wood scored 453.15 in the 1 meter diving event which earned in a seventh place finish. By grabbing a top eight spot, Wood earned a spot as an All-American. Earlier this week, Wood earned an Honorable Mention All American in the 3 meter event with a 11
th place finish.
Matthew Lenzo, picked up his second Honorable Mention All American award on the 1 meter dive with a score of 395.75 for 14
th place. Lenzo finished 12 on the 3 meter board on Thursday for his first All American Honorable Mention.
The combined score earned the Falcons a 14
th place as a team.
Jazmine Tscherne was the first woman swimmer who ever competed for a NCAA national championship in the history of the program. Tscherne finished 30
th in the 200 back today.
